About Our Church

Empowered by the Holy Spirit to share Christ with the world, beginning in our community

Maple Cane Baptist Church will exalt the Savior, equip the saints, and evangelize the unsaved.

Our Church

Established in 1835, Maple Cane Baptist Church has been a steadfast place for the community to gather and worship God. We affirm the Holy Bible as the inspired Word of God and as the basis for our beliefs. We voluntarily unite as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ, personally committed to sharing the good news of salvation to lost mankind.  We are a church that nurtures its members through a program of Christian education as well as their relationship to Christ and ministers in Jesus’ name to persons everywhere, beginning at home and reaching to the ends of the earth.

Our Beliefs & Values

We affirm the Holy Bible as the inspired Word of God and the basis for our beliefs.  This church subscribes to the latest doctrinal statement of The Baptist Faith and Message as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention.

We voluntarily unite as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ, personally committed to sharing the good news of salvation to lost mankind.

Blake Anderson

Blake Anderson

Pastor

Pastor Blake has served as the Pastor for Maple Cane Baptist Church for the last 8 years. His passion and vision for Christ is centered in serving where God opens doors. His passion for youth ministry and seeing young people come to know Christ is a central theme driving the vision for Maple Cane Baptist Church. We are raising the church of tomorrow, today! Also, embedded in Pastor Blake’s DNA is the ever-persistent need for growth. This means growth in our own spiritual lives that leads to serving in the kingdom, and the growth of the church. If the church and Christians aren’t growing then the bible teaches that they are dying. Pastor Blake desires to see a growing church made up of growing individuals who seek to produce fruit in the kingdom of God that leads the lost to know Christ. Even growing up, ministry and church service have been a part of Pastor Blake’s life. His father surrendered to the ministry when Blake was 12 years old. This began their family’s service for Christ. His father served as head pastor in several churches, which gave Pastor Blake a bird’s eye view of ministry and an avenue to serve alongside his father. Over the years, he has served as a Sunday school teacher, deacon, and youth pastor prior to answering the call of God to be a pastor. He has been happily married to his wife Melinda for the past 23 years. They now serve together in the very church in which they met and were married. The Lord has blessed them with two boys who serve alongside them in the ministry of the church.

Church History

Maple Cane Baptist church was established in 1835. In its earlier days it consisted of just a brush arbor where the community would gather to praise and worship God. As the congregation grew, so did the church building itself. From humble beginnings it blossomed into the old church building you see currently on the church property. After many years and much prayer this congregation grew once again. This growth led to the vision and construction of the building that is currently used for worship at Maple Cane. Over the years the church has blossomed and grown as a result of many saints past and present serving the Lord with all their hearts.
